This is a unique opportunity to develop into a mentoring role, beginning with a strong operational foundation before progressing into educator coaching, family engagement and quality practice support.

About the Role

The Practice Mentor is a developmental position designed to build expertise across both operational administration and practice leadership.

The successful applicant will initially work within the administration function of the Enhance team, supporting family enquiries, educator coordination, service administration and operational processes. This foundation will provide a comprehensive understanding of our systems, service delivery and the In Home Care program.

As capability and confidence develop, the role will progressively transition into the full Practice Mentor responsibilities, including mentoring Educators, conducting Educator visits, supporting quality improvement, strengthening compliance and building strong relationships with families and stakeholders.

This staged approach provides an excellent opportunity to develop into a rewarding role that makes a genuine difference in the lives of children and families.

We're looking for an experienced Governance and Policy Advisor who enjoys turning legislation, standards and organisational objectives into practical, easy-to-use policies, procedures and governance resources. If you're passionate about governance, quality, compliance and making a meaningful difference in the not-for-profit sector, we'd love to hear from you.

About the Role

This newly created 12-month fixed-term position offers the opportunity to make a lasting impact across the organisation.

Working closely with leaders across Family Day Care Queensland, you will review, develop and implement organisational policies, procedures and governance documentation that support compliance, quality practice and continuous improvement.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys research, writing, collaboration and problem-solving, and who can confidently interpret legislation while developing practical resources that support staff across the organisation.

Family Day Care Queensland (FDCQ) is seeking a motivated and strategic Workforce Growth and Engagement Strategist to help attract, recruit and retain high quality educators across our Family Day Care and In Home Care services.

This newly created role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the future of early childhood education by developing workforce strategies that support organisational growth and strengthen our educator community.

About the Role

Reporting to the Enhance Manager, you will lead initiatives that support the recruitment, engagement and retention of educators. Working collaboratively across the organisation, you will help position Enhance as an employer and service provider of choice.

Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Developing and implementing workforce recruitment and retention strategies
  • Coordinating recruitment campaigns and promotional activities
  • Building relationships with training providers, industry partners and community organisations
  • Supporting educator onboarding and engagement initiatives
  • Monitoring workforce trends and analysing recruitment data
  • Preparing reports and recommendations to support strategic decision-making
  • Identifying opportunities to improve workforce attraction and retention outcomes

About You

We are looking for someone with experience in recruitment, workforce planning, human resources, marketing or a related field who is passionate about supporting educators and strengthening the early childhood workforce.

You will bring:

  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities
  • Experience developing recruitment or workforce strategies
