This is a unique opportunity to develop into a mentoring role, beginning with a strong operational foundation before progressing into educator coaching, family engagement and quality practice support.
About the Role
The Practice Mentor is a developmental position designed to build expertise across both operational administration and practice leadership.
The successful applicant will initially work within the administration function of the Enhance team, supporting family enquiries, educator coordination, service administration and operational processes. This foundation will provide a comprehensive understanding of our systems, service delivery and the In Home Care program.
As capability and confidence develop, the role will progressively transition into the full Practice Mentor responsibilities, including mentoring Educators, conducting Educator visits, supporting quality improvement, strengthening compliance and building strong relationships with families and stakeholders.
This staged approach provides an excellent opportunity to develop into a rewarding role that makes a genuine difference in the lives of children and families.
What you'll be doing
Initially you will:
- Support family enquiries and onboarding.
- Assist with educator coordination and operational administration.
- Maintain accurate records across organisational systems.
- Support enrolments, bookings and documentation.
- Build knowledge of legislation, policies and service delivery.
As the role develops, you will also:
- Mentor and coach Educators to deliver high-quality, child-safe education and care.
- Conduct Educator visits across Queensland.
- Support quality improvement and continuous professional development.
- Monitor compliance with legislation and the National Quality Framework.
- Build strong relationships with families and Educators.
- Contribute to recruitment and service growth initiatives.
About You
You'll be passionate about supporting children, families and Educators while building your own capability in mentoring and practice leadership.
You'll bring:
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or higher)
- Experience within the Early Childhood Education and Care sector
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach
- Current Driver Licence and access to a reliable vehicle
- Current First Aid qualification
- Blue Card (or ability to obtain)

We're looking for an experienced Governance and Policy Advisor who enjoys turning legislation, standards and organisational objectives into practical, easy-to-use policies, procedures and governance resources. About the Role
This newly created 12-month fixed-term position offers the opportunity to make a lasting impact across the organisation.
Working closely with leaders across Family Day Care Queensland, you will review, develop and implement organisational policies, procedures and governance documentation that support compliance, quality practice and continuous improvement.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys research, writing, collaboration and problem-solving, and who can confidently interpret legislation while developing practical resources that support staff across the organisation.
What You'll Be Doing
You'll play a key role in strengthening organisational governance by:
- Reviewing, developing and maintaining organisational policies, procedures and governance documentation.
- Monitoring legislative and regulatory changes and ensuring organisational compliance.
- Supporting governance reporting, audit activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Developing practical templates, forms, guidance materials and organisational resources.
- Consulting with managers and subject matter experts to ensure policies are practical, relevant and fit for purpose.
- Supporting the implementation of new policies through communication, education and guidance.
- Identifying opportunities to improve organisational systems, processes and governance practices.
- Promoting a culture of compliance, accountability and continuous improvement.
About You
You're someone who enjoys bringing structure to complexity and producing high-quality documentation that makes a real difference.
You'll bring:
- Demonstrated experience in governance, policy development, compliance or organisational advisory roles.
- Strong knowledge of legislative and regulatory frameworks, ideally within the not-for-profit, education, community services or health sectors.
- Exceptional written communication skills with the ability to produce clear, practical and well-structured documentation.
- Experience interpreting legislation and translating requirements into organisational policies and procedures.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and consultation skills.
- Strong organisational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A proactive mindset and passion for continuous improvement.
