Rohan Wilschefski
Rohan Wilschefski is an experienced senior leader with more than two decades of service in public safety, emergency management, and risk governance. He is currently an Executive Manager with the Queensland Fire Department and brings extensive experience in corporate governance, policy development, and stakeholder engagement across complex government and community environments.
An Associate Member of the Governance Institute of Australia, Rohan holds a Graduate Certificate in Applied Corporate Governance and Risk Management and a Graduate Diploma in Strategic Leadership. He has led large-scale organisational reforms, overseen multi-agency collaborations, and contributed to national emergency management policy through his leadership roles within the Australasian Fire and Emergency Services Authorities Council (AFAC).
Rohan is deeply committed to inclusive, community-focused governance. As the father of two children with disabilities—one of whom is homeschooled through a program inspired by traditional family day care—he brings valuable lived experience and a strong personal connection to the mission of Family Day Care Queensland. This perspective strengthens his advocacy for flexible, high-quality, home-based education and care that supports all children to thrive.
Rohan is passionate about contributing to FDCQ’s strategic vision and strengthening the sector’s voice through effective governance, advocacy, and innovation.
